Is Drucilla Winters returning to 'The Young and the Restless'?

For the past few months, a mysterious stalker has been taking pictures of the Winters/Michaelson clan on The Young and the Restless. After the great decision to make Angell Conwell and Redaric Williams main cast members, their characters (Leslie and Tyler) have endured a long exploration of their past. After the untimely death of their father Gus (Tony Todd) in May, viewers have been waiting to know the next chapter. And basically, we're still waiting! Leslie thinks the woman who holds the key to her father's secrets, Rose Turner, is dead, but we should know that's probably is untrue, because Leslie Stevens joins Y&R as Rose on July 25!

Since then, the Winters/Michaelson clan has been targeted by an unknown blogger exposing recovering alcoholic Neil Winters' (Kristoff St. John) diary entries, among other things. And just this week, when Leslie tells Neil Rose died in 2007, we go to a flashback of Neil sipping an alcoholic beverage, and reading of his wife, Drucilla Winters' (Victoria Rowell) presumed death. Rowell herself, who had played Drucilla for seventeen years, left Y&R in 2007 after calling the show racist for not having enough black cast and crew members. Within the story, Dru fell off a cliff and her body was never found. In the years following her exit, Rowell stated that certain actors were preventing her return to the show, one of them being Michelle Stafford (who plays Phyllis), who will be exiting in August! Maybe what we don't know is that Stafford quit because Rowell will be making her long overdue return! The viewers can only hope. It would definitely explain Stafford's sudden decision to leave Y&R in May. Watch The Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS.
